Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (225g) fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Additional Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Season the chicken breast pieces with salt and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the garlic.
6. Add grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
7. Add cooked fettuccine pasta and cooked chicken pieces back to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
8. Stir in chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes (if using), adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
9. Serve the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken pasta hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired. Enjoy this comforting and flavorful dish!
