Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
5. Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the minced garlic. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
6. In another small bowl, mix water and cornstarch to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the skillet and stir well.
7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
8. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the honey garlic sauce over them. Let everything simmer together for another 1-2 minutes to heat through.
9. Serve the honey garlic chicken hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Enjoy the sweet and savory flavors of this delicious dish!
