Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken


Ingredients:

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 cup chicken broth

- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions:

1. **Prepare the Chicken:**

   - Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.


2. **Sear the Chicken:**

   - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

   - Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.


3. **Make the Sauce:**

   - In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

   - Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze and incorporate any browned bits.

   - Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).

   - Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.


4. **Finish the Dish:**

   - Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, coating them with the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.

   - Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring they are fully coated and heated through.


5. **Serve:**

   - Plate the chicken breasts and spoon some of the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the top.

   - Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
